The new landrover defender price is a rugged off-road SUV that marries off-road capability with on-road refinement. Its hefty, sculpted frame and a solidly-built chassis make it capable of tackling the toughest terrain, while still offering a surprisingly plush on-road ride quality.
Is Range Rover expensive than Lamborghini?
It comes in three body styles, 90, 110 and 130; and is available with either four- or six-cylinder engines. The EPA rates the four-cylinder 90 models at 18 mpg in city driving and 21 mpg on the highway, while the six-cylinder 110s get 17 mpg in city and 23 mpg on the highway.
In addition to the standard turbocharged four-cylinder, the Defender is also available with a 395-horsepower turbocharged six-cylinder engine that provides plenty of low-end torque for off-roading. A supercharged V8 engine is optional, which provides a brute 518-horsepower boost that’s more than enough to rocket the Defender from 0-60 mph in a brisk 4.9 seconds.
Despite its reputation as an off-road powerhouse, the Defender remains relatively luxurious, with comfortable seats, excellent interior space and a roomy, stylish cabin. However, it is pricier than rivals like the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler, and a number of options can add tens of thousands to its price tag.
Fuel economy is also not a strong point, with the Defender getting only about 18 mpg in city and 23 mpg highway. That’s a little better than the Toyota 4Runner, but it isn’t as good as its competitors from Jeep and Ford.
